The Worst Jamboree Ever!

The 2005 National Scout Jamboree has to be the worst jamboree evah! This year the boys have had to deal with unprecedented heat, the death of 4 staffers and then President Bush cancelled his arrival.

On July 27, 2005 over 300 Boy Scouts fell ill in the high heat and humidity of the Washington, DC area. The sad, and a little amusing, thing is that they fell sick while waiting for President Bush's motorcade. He was arriving for a memorial service for the four Scout leaders who were pinched while pitching a dinner tent UNDER A POWER LINE. Of course, due to the threat of storms the President never showed up and the event looks like its been delayed.

I hope the Scouts don't have to stand out in the heat again, waiting for the Bush, and for the President to cancel the thing again. I know that over 40,000 are attending this event, but at this rather by the time this thing ends most people will be either sick or dead.

Who will pitch dinner tents under power lines then.

There is obviously a lot more to this and Fox News is kind enough to supply the story.
